Background Info: Douglas Shippert began his work in education as a junior high school teacher in Aurora, Illinois. After a number of years teaching, he entered the field of administration serving as assistant principal of a junior high school in Aurora, Illinois. He later moved back to his home town of Dixon, Illinois where he served in various capacities over a 13 year period. In the Dixon Public Schools, he served as an assistant high school principal, and elementary principal and middle school principal. After his experiences in Dixon, he moved to Wisconsin and served as a middle/high school principal in the Rio, Wisconsin School District for the past 20 years. He joined QSI in the summer of 2008 and is serving as the Director of QSI Yerevan. In his spare time, he enjoys following racing of all kinds, particularly F-1, reading and travel.
