Background Info: Mrs. Alisa Sargsyan started to play piano at age 5 studying at the Tchaikovsky music school in Yerevan. At age 10 she received a Grand Prix from the Moscow Juniors Assembly of Arts, at age 14: First Prize from the “Amadeus” Armenian-Belgian Music Competition. In high school Alisa started to compose music and got a Bronze Medal from Benjamin Britten Composers Competition. Alisa holds a Master of Arts degree from Yerevan State Conservatory and a PhD from Yerevan State Academy of Arts and Science. Alisa is also active as a concert performer and composer. Nowadays, she combines teaching at QSIY with lecturing at the Yerevan State Conservatory.
